Sampo Software OY received funding for the implementation of Horizon 2020 SME Instrument phase 1 project

Invent Baltics helped Finnish company Sampo Software OY to prepare a successful project proposal to the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation funding programme. The project will receive support under the topic of “Open Disruptive Innovation Scheme"

Sampo Software OY is developing a technology for accurate measurement of large industrial metal products/components for quality-checking purposes. During the phase 1 project, the company will specify user requirements, conduct a patent study and prepare an elaborated business plan.

The SME Instrument phase 1 supports SMEs to cover the funding for initial feasibility assessment and business plan preparation (€50 000). Phase 2 funding is targeted at SMEs with particular focus on product development, demonstration activities and market replication. Applications are expected in various topics and companies can apply for funding individually without partners. Subcontracting is allowed both in phase 1 and phase 2 projects. Typical budget of a phase 2 project is €1.5-3 million.

The next cut-off dates for Phase 1 are September 7, November 9 and February 15 (2017). The next Phase II deadlines are October 13, January 18 (2017) and April 6.
